Our Client in So Portland Is looking for an experienced welder to join the team.Direct HirePay 25.00-26.00Duties and Responsibilities:Applying weld using various method and technique with or without automated equipmentLayout and fit up of materials for productionMoving materials, with or without lifting equipmentResponsible for maintaining housekeeping of work facilitiesGrinding parts and pieces for productionSafe operation of equipmentResponsible for ensuring the adherence to all company safety and OSHA regulations. Mustmaintain a thorough knowledge of company Quality Assurance and Safety Manuals.The ability to work overtimePerforms non-essential duties as neededPhysical Demands: Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds. Job requires excessiveamounts of climbing, pulling, pushing, crawling, bending and stooping, etc. Must be ableto tolerate loud noises. May require overtime and weekend work.Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentPass Weld TestMust be able to read and communicate effectively in the English language.Must have the ability to effectively read a shop drawing, tape measure, and work in fractions.Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the steel fabrication industryHands-on experience and mechanical knowledgePrevious Welding Experience
