Job Description

Our customer in Augusta is in need of a temporary mechanic. This is a temporary assignment lasting 2-3 months.
This is an entry-level position consisting of basic light-duty mechanical work maintaining vehicles and equipment (light and heavy). Work involves basic mechanical repairs and maintenance.
Monday through Friday, 7am - 3:30pm$24/hour  ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS;  
  1. Confirms parts provided are correct for the job assignment.
  2. Completes a work order for each job assignment.
  3. Reads parts manuals to determine correct part(s) to be ordered.
  4. Performs light mechanical work, such as tire service, lube & oil change, brake jobs, minor tune-ups, fuels equipment, vehicle cleaning and vehicle inspections.
  5. Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  6. Perform other duties related to Public Works operation, as assigned.
