Create and maintain accurate patient profiles, including demographic, insurance, and allergy information.
Assist with prescription processing, data entry, medication filling, shipping, inventory management, and point-of-sale transactions.
Communicate with internal healthcare staff through electronic medical records (Athena) regarding medication refills and other non-clinical pharmacy inquiries.
QualificationsRequired
High school diploma or equivalent.
Active Pharmacy Technician license for the state of Maine or the ability to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
Strong computer and data entry skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Previous pharmacy experience.
Experience in a healthcare or medical setting.
Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and abbreviations.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
