Pay Rate: $19.00 per hourJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented SMT Kitter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and organizing all materials and components required for surface mount technology (SMT) production runs. You will ensure that SMT feeders, reels, and associated components are properly labeled, organized, and verified according to job orders and production schedules. The SMT Kitter plays a critical role in reducing downtime, improving efficiency, and ensuring quality during the SMT assembly process.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), job travelers, and assembly instructions.
  • Pull and kit components required for SMT jobs from inventory accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and revisions to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Label and organize SMT feeders, reels, and trays in preparation for line setup.
  • Communicate effectively with inventory control and production personnel regarding shortages, discrepancies, or approved substitutions.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure unused components are properly returned to stock.
  • Handle all components in compliance with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and safety protocols.
  • Track and log material usage, consumption, and returns using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Assist with SMT line setup and teardown as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen – This is an ITAR-regulated position.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Familiarity with SMT components and feeder types preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret BOMs, part numbers, and job travelers.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with ERP or MRP systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and performing repetitive tasks while standing.
