Running the shop’s classic workhorses: Bridgeport, manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and turret lathes
Reading blueprints and making precision parts to spec—tight tolerances, no shortcuts
Using micrometers, calipers, and indicators like a boss
Handling one-off jobs, custom components, and specialty parts
Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and making smart adjustments on the fly
Finishing your work like a pro: deburring, grinding, polishing
Keeping your workspace clean, safe, and organized—because real pros take pride in their bench
? What You Bring to the TableMachining Chops:
Deep experience with:
Manual lathes
Bridgeport and other manual mills
Surface and cylindrical grinders
Drill presses
Vertical turret lathes
Strong knowledge of metals, tooling, speeds/feeds, and materials
Excellent blueprint reading and shop math (geometry, trig, etc.)
Precision measuring like a true craftsman
Mindset & Soft Skills:
Laser-sharp attention to detail
A true problem-solver who can think on your feet
Confident working independently and taking ownership of your work
Clear communicator, team player, and always looking to improve
Love working with your hands and seeing a project through
? Physical Side of the Job
On your feet most of the shift (8–10 hrs)
Lifting parts up to 50 lbs
Maneuvering around machines with ease
Good vision and depth perception for those ultra-tight tolerances
Comfortable using your hands all day long—precision and dexterity matter

5+ years of manual machining experience
Trade school or vocational training in machining
Experience in a tool room or job shop setting
Strong understanding of shop safety and OSHA regs
