If so, we want to hear from you! We are seeking a full-time, temp-to-hire CAD Designer/Structural Steel Detailer to join a dynamic team of professionals. Create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and other CAD tools, aligned with customer and production expectations.
Apply drafting best practices and structural steel detailing standards to all design work.
Review and verify CAD output for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Deliver high-quality production packages on time and within budget.
Collaborate with project managers, sales, and internal teams to ensure project success.
Assist with field measurements and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Maintain clear documentation of design changes and modifications.
Provide exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Foster a safe, positive, and professional working environment.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary certificate or Associate’s Degree in a related field, or 3–5 years of documented CAD experience.
Proficiency in SolidWorks preferred; experience with other 3D CAD platforms will be considered.
Strong computer literacy and mechanical aptitude.
Familiarity with SDS2, AutoCAD, ProNest, Flashcut, PeddiMat, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access).
Ability to respond to urgent project needs outside regular hours when necessary.
