Job Description
Our Client in So Portland is seeking a Shift Blaster / Metallizer to join the team.Direct HirePay 26.00
Duties and Responsibilities:· Ensures appropriate surface preparation for coatings applications per specification· Application of zinc spray coating per required specification· Maintaining thermal spray & blast equipment and processes· Moving materials, with or without lifting equipment· Responsible for maintaining housekeeping of work facilities· Safe operation of equipment· Responsible for ensuring the adherence to all company safety and OSHA regulations. Must maintain a thorough knowledge of company Quality Assurance and Safety Manuals.· The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.· Performs non-essential duties as needed.Physical Demands: Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds. Job requires excessive amounts of climbing, pulling, pushing, crawling, bending and stooping, etc. Must be able to tolerate loud noises. Position requires overtime and possible weekend work.Qualifications:· High School diploma or equivalent· Must be able to read and communicate effectively in the English language.· Must have ability to effectively read a tape measure, work in fractions· Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the steel fabrication industry· Hands-on experience and mechanical knowledge
