- Install emergency equipment including light bars, push bumpers, auxiliary batteries, consoles, and more.
- Disassemble and reassemble factory vehicles with precision and care.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics accurately.
- Diagnose, service, and repair emergency vehicle systems.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all work performed.
- Work independently and contribute innovative ideas to improve processes.
- Provide your own set of professional-grade tools.
- Travel occasionally for off-site service calls.
- Hands-on experience with automotive electrical and mechanical systems.
- Welding and fabrication skills (aluminum experience is highly valued).
- Knowledge of diesel engines and air brake systems.
- A valid driver’s license and a great attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Familiarity with fire and rescue vehicles or equipment is a bonus.
- Trade school or vocational training in automotive repair.
- ASE or EVT certifications.
- Experience working with heavy-duty trucks.
