Job Title: Painter/Metal Fab Worker and Laborer
Shift: Mon – Thurs 6am to 4:30p, Fridays as needed
Job Type: Full-TimeJob Overview:We are seeking a motivated and reliable Painter/ Metal Fab Worker and Laborer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly of metal components, interior and exterior painting, ensuring high-quality standards and contributing to the overall efficiency of the production process.Key Responsibilities: *MUST BE DEPENDABLE*
  • Metal Fabrication: Assist in cutting, welding, grinding, and assembling metal parts as per work orders and specifications.
  • Machine Operation: Operate various fabrication machinery, including but not limited to, saws, grinders, and other steel cutting equipment.
  • Material Handling: Safely move, store, and organize metal materials, tools, and equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Interior/Exterior Painting: Painting inside offices as well as the exterior of the building. Must be ok with heights as a lift is needed to reach all parts of the exterior of the building
  • General Painting: Some steel is painted with primer
  • Quality Control: Inspect metal parts for quality and defects before and after fabrication, ensuring that products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly clean and sweep work areas, tools, and equipment including the lunchroom, bathroom, forklifts and trucks. Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • General Labor: Assist in lifting heavy materials, loading and unloading materials from delivery trucks, and keeping the work area clean and well organized.
  • Forklift Operator: Operate different types of forklifts depending on the material being moved
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, or general labor is preferred but not required. Willing to train motivated candidates.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality, ensuring that all work meets company and industry standards.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of reading blueprints, measurements (tape measure), and using hand tools.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and take direction from supervisors.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new skills and take on a variety of tasks within the shop.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Welding or machine operation certifications (e.g., MIG, TIG welding).
  • Interior/exterior painting
  • Previous experience with CNC machinery or other advanced fabrication equipment.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to use various hand tools and a tape measure.
  • Standing, bending, and moving frequently throughout the shift.
