Now Hiring: Maintenance Technician – Elderly Housing Community Location: Claremont, NH Employment Type: Full-Time Hourly Rate: $22/hour Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at an elderly housing development. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for residents. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive, and respectful of working within a senior community. This will be a 30hrs/week assignment, M-F. 8: 00 AM1: 30 PM5 hours8: 00 AM4: 00 PM7.5 hours8: 00 AM1: 30 PM5 hours8: 00 AM4: 00 PM7.5 hours8: 00 AM1: 30 PM5 hours Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs in apartments, common areas, and building systems
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and management
Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
Maintain grounds, including light landscaping and seasonal upkeep (snow removal, etc.)
Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes
Coordinate with outside contractors as needed
Keep accurate records of work orders and completed tasks
Qualifications:
3 years maintenance experience (residential or property management preferred)
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Good communication skills and a respectful, patient demeanor with elderly residents
