We are looking for a reliable, action-oriented Equipment Operator to join our team.Job SummaryAs our Equipment Operator, you will be the driving force behind our daily site operations. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile equipment, manual work, site cleanup, loading and unloading of trucks, general maintenance helper, and other duties. Employee will primarily operate loaders, forklifts and other equipment with hydraulically actuated implements. Here is what you will tackle every day:
Operate the mobile equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
Operate equipment on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the equipment.
Site clean up
General plant maintenance helper
Other tasks not mentioned above as requiredHS Diploma or GED required
Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a wood production facility
1 to 2 years’ experience operating manufacturing equipment from a control system.
Knowledge of forklifts, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
Knowledge of wood handling processes and industry requirements.
Understanding of computerized controls and electronics
