Design Drafter for Civil Engineering Projects Please Note: No out-of-state or out-of-country applicants will be considered for this local job. We’re looking for a talented and experienced Design Drafter (at least 3 years of experience) who’s ready to bring precision, creativity, and a bit of personality to the civil engineering team. If you enjoy turning survey data into smart, buildable designs — you might be just the person we’re looking for. What You’ll Be Doing:
Drafting detailed plans for roads, grading, stormwater systems, and utilities
Creating surface models from survey data (contours, elevations — the works)
Designing alignments and profiles for infrastructure projects
Building 3D corridor models and cross-sections that make sense and look sharp
Preparing construction documents and layout sheets for permitting and build-out
Managing drawing files, styles, and references like a CAD wizard
Collaborating with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to keep everything accurate and on track
Assisting with site plans and finish grading with input from the project engineer
Applying your knowledge of sewer, water, and storm drain systems
What We’re Looking For:
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Strong attention to detail and file organization
A collaborative mindset and good communication skills
Familiarity with civil infrastructure design standards
