We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill the position of Buildings and Grounds Working Foreman. This role involves overseeing and performing a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of park and recreation buildings, grounds, and open spaces.In collaboration with the Director, you will organize, coordinate, and oversee the overall daily operating tasks for the Buildings & Grounds Staff. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Organize, oversee, assign, and perform various maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain park and open space areas including fields.
  • Inspect, wash, paint, and repair park facilities.
  • Perform minor semi-skilled interior building maintenance.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on lawn and power equipment.
  • Plant and care for lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowers.
  • Operate a variety of equipment including tractors, mowers, and trucks.
  • Carry out pest and weed control in parks and open spaces.
  • Perform custodial work as required.
  • Collect and dispose of solid waste and litter.
  • Assist in setting up and taking down equipment for events and programs.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment.
  • Train staff and enforce safety compliance.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of equipment, materials, and supplies used in building and grounds maintenance.
  • Some knowledge of first aid and safety precautions.
  • Skill in operation of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and lift heavy objects.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Supervisory experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Valid state driver’s license.Background check Drug Screen
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:Various landscaping and janitorial equipment including trucks, tractors, mowers, chainsaw, and floor buffers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The role involves working near moving parts, in outdoor conditions, and occasionally at heights. It may also entail exposure to various environmental factors and occasional risk of electrical shock.
