We are seeking a reliable Automotive Accounting Assistant to join a busy and growing team in Westbrook, Maine. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with office and accounting experience who enjoys working in a structured environment and contributing wherever needed. Automotive accounting experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with the right attitude and aptitude.ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining various accounting schedules
Performing account reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy
Data entry and journal postings
Assisting with accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Following established processes and procedures
Supporting management with additional duties and special projects
Specific responsibilities will be discussed during the interview process.QualificationsRequired:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience working in an office environment
Understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits
Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and processes
Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Dependable team player with a strong work ethic
Preferred:
Associate's Degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
Experience working with an Automotive DMS (Dealer Management System)
Previous experience in an automotive or sales accounting office
