Metal Fabricator$18-$23/hrFull Time Temp-to-HireLewiston, ME Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Welder with proficiency in various welding processes, including GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, or SAW. The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of basic weld procedures and possess basic blueprint reading skills. The Welder will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of welding operations.

- Adhere to all safety rules and use proper personal protective equipment.
- Organize and maintain the work area for safe, clean, and efficient operations.
- Possess working knowledge of welding, fixturing, weld wire, and filler material applications for various steel alloys, stainless, and carbon.
- Review schedules, prioritize daily work, and examine specifications and blueprints to determine equipment, material, and tool requirements.
- Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials/parts and notify Lead/Supervisor.
- Have sufficient visual acuity to operate machines and visually inspect produced parts.
- Lift and move materials as required: up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.
- High school diploma or GED required. Technical school graduate preferred.
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work well with external and internal customers.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and follow work instructions.
- Proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; use basic handheld measuring tools.
- Related experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
